Our "Go-To" Bar and Restaurant just a 3 minute walk up the road. Locally owned, family-friendly, casual venue with a fabulous atmosphere.
The Lodge has a varied menu including plenty of pub classics and caters for all dietary requirements. We have always enjoyed consistently good food quality and they also do an all-day Sunday Roast not to be missed.
The Bar offers a great social space with a good selection of local ales, lagers, spirits and a seasonal selection of wines.
The Lodge has a fantastic outdoor area and is an ideal venue to watch all major sporting events on the big screen.
It's amazing to have a 3 AA Rosette, Michelin star restaurant just literally 3 minutes walk away. The Neptune is an intimate, fine dining restaurant serving modern British food in a warm and friendly atmosphere and a generous portion of oustanding quality. You can choose from the seasonal a la carte menu or a tasting menu and you can even go for a posh Sunday Lunch.
The Neptune, a charming 18th century former coaching inn, is owned by Kevin and Jacki Mangeolles. The restaurant has an emphasis on fresh, local produce and having retained a Michelin star since 2009, you are guaranteed the best. It's not cheap, obviously, but the food and the extensive wine list are perfect for special occasions, or just a special treat! Book early!
AA rosette awarded restaurant, only a 3 minute walk down the road from Cliff Farmhouse. A little more traditional, but great food and service. Serving fine dining dishes to pub classics, fish and chips on the patio, delicious Sunday roast or afternoon tea.
Dog-friendly cafe punches above its weight with delicious, quality food to suit any dietary requirement. Fantastic breakfasts, right on the beach. Directly opposite is the Old Hunstanton RNLI station, always a hive of activity on Sunday morning training days.
The cafe can be very busy in the summer, so get there early to avoid the queue.
Also known as the Ancient Mariner Pub, located adjacent to the Le Strange Arms Hotel. The Mariner is popular with both visitors and locals alike, thanks to the unique atmosphere and striking views of the Old Hunstanton Beach and The Wash.
An outside eating area leads onto the lawns which sweep down to the beach, making it an ideal spot for adults and children alike. Inside, there are low beams, snug seating and plenty of nooks and crannies to explore, offering guests a number of areas in which to enjoy a meal, as well as award winning guest ales, traditional beers and a wide variety of wines. The Mariner serves a huge variety of traditional food and daily specials.
A short walk away and great for Sundowners!
Mediterranean-styled dining with pizza, pasta, classic British dishes and afternoon tea. Small, but good menu, consistently good food and service. Only a 10 minute drive from Cliff Farmhouse.
Located in Foundry Place, just off North Street, Socius offers locally sourced produce in dishes which change to reflect the seasons. Food is served on small plates and designed to share – as a modern British take on tapas. The open-plan restaurant and kitchen was designed to create a unique and sociable dining experience where guests can enjoy the food and drink on offer, whilst watching the team at work.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here, something a little different if you like to share! Food and service was excellent, worthy of their listing in the Michelin Guide for 2020 and Winner of Restaurant of the Year in the Eat Norfolk Food and Drink Awards 2019.
The Old Bank is an intimate bistro restaurant located just a few miles away from Old Hunstanton and the coast. It is owned and operated by Aga & Lewis King, focusing on modern seasonal cuisine, using local ingredients whenever possible.
One of the best we have experienced, great for a foodie treat and special occasions, but you will have to book well in advance!
In October 2018 the restaurant was named "The Good Food Guide Best Local Restaurant 2019" and soon after was also listed in the Michelin Guide.

Just five miles from Hunstanton, we love the Deli for its vibrant atmosphere and great range of food and drink for eating in or takeaway. From light bites and grazing boards through to gourmet meals and tasty treats, there is something for everyone and the coffee is great too!
The eating area has been recently enhanced with the addition of the Green House – a beautiful, light, stylish space where walkers, cyclists, dogs and their owners can relax and enjoy all the Deli has to offer.
Thornham Deli also has an eclectic lifestyle store, housing a cornucopia of house, kitchen and garden items as well as a range of fashion accessories. Beware, it's easy to get carried away!
Award winning Eric’s Fish and Chips blends the nostalgia of the traditional British fish and chip restaurants of the past, with a modern European influence, setting it apart from the normal chip shop. It is our favourite for fish and chips, but be prepared to wait if you go out on a sunny day in the holidays!
Eric’s signature fish and chips is lightly coated in house-made Green King IPA beer batter, but alongside are more contemporary choices such as Japanese-style fish burgers and several veggie options. All sauces and condiments are homemade and you can end with seasonal ice creams by East Coast Gelato.
And for drinks, a selection of wines and homemade soft drinks are available, or enjoy a cold pint of Eric’s own Session Pale Ale.

Located in the heart of Ringstead, a charming village surrounded by the natural beauty of the English countryside. Just 5 minutes drive from Cliff Farmhouse, or a very pleasant 3 mile walk through the Ringstead Downs. The pub itself has a characterful history welcoming all guests since 1668, be they locals, visitors, families with children and dogs.
A great pub, if you like quality food and gin... with over 100 varieties! They also boast a fantastic outside area to relax in. We like the Gin Trap for special ocassions.
