A Break in North Norfolk

We know that this is a difficult time at the moment for everyone and after we have come out of the COVID-19 tunnel and restrictions are lifted, it is our belief that everyone will be in need of a break. From the people working tirelessly on the front lines, to members of the public who are currently stuck at home.

Since this is our first blog, we would like to enlighten you about Cliff Farmhouse B&B Suites, in our opinion, the perfect place to enjoy a much-needed break on the North Norfolk Coast. Due to COVID-19, we are unable to operate at the moment so bookmark us for a stay at a later date... hopefully from July onwards!

When we are finally allowed to reopen our doors; if the Government retains some restrictions, or if you feel it is too soon to re-enter the population with full force, which we would totally understand and respect; we are perfectly set up for self-check-in/out and safe social distancing throughout your stay. We also have a stellar reputation for cleanliness, but we are putting further measures in place in order to ensure the safety of our guests and everyone that works at Cliff Farmhouse B&B Suites. These extra measures include the use of masks and gloves, a more extensive cleaning protocol and a final cleanse of all switches, doors and handles at the end of each clean.

B&B Suites

Cliff Farmhouse boasts three B&B suites; Besley, Wallis, and Pull, aptly named using Vicky and Graham’s family maiden names. Each suite is decorated in a contemporary classic style, each with its own unique features. All three suites have a bedroom with en suite bathroom and a sitting room with its own dining room area to enjoy breakfast in the privacy of your suite. Perfect for social distancing!

No matter which suite you choose for your stay, you’re guaranteed to wake up to a beautiful view of the colourful south facing garden and the wild pasture beyond. The Besley Suite offers something slightly different, with direct access to the verandah and a private garden furnished for relaxing with a cup of tea, reading a book and topping up your tan in the Summer sunshine.

All B&B guests have access to the private garden outside the back of the cottage and there is plenty of space to safely practice social distancing for as long as that restriction may apply.  

Self Catering

Cliff Farmhouse B&B can also very easily be adapted to become a three-bedroom self-catering cottage for guests who wish to be totally independent. The cottage has a number of fantastic facilities that include two upstairs bedrooms with one large bathroom and one downstairs bedroom with an en suite bathroom. There is also a kitchen/dining room area for the whole family to enjoy mealtimes, as well as a sitting room on the ground floor, both areas having French doors opening directly on to the verandah and a generous private sunny garden.

Depending on the timing and the extent of COVID-19 restrictions being lifted by the Government, we are led to believe that a phased return to normal life is most likely and hence some social spaces may be more accessible than others.

While You're Here

With social distancing in mind, there is plenty for our guests to do in the surrounding areas, including wonderful walks bursting with wildlife that is thriving in these unprecedented times and some of the UK’s best bird watching locations. So grab a pair of binoculars and get spotting! Within a 10-minute walk, there is the wonderful sandy Old Hunstanton Beach, perfect for walking, running, swimming, kayaking, kite surfing and sunbathing, as well as the Hunstanton Golf Club, a superb championship links course rated as one of Britain & Ireland's 'Top 100' courses. There is also lots more just a short drive along the North Norfolk Coast.

Although bars and restaurants may still not be fully open in the Summer months, there are more and more nearby restaurants opening for takeaway food deliveries or collections that you can enjoy comfortably at your own private dining table in your spacious B&B Suite.

Alternatively, for self-catering guests, there are numerous shops and delicatessen’s in the local area and our kitchen is superbly kitted out for all those gourmet chefs’ who enjoy preparing their own meals.
