We love North Norfolk and we are passionate about hospitality, so when we moved into Cliff Farmhouse we thought it would be an ideal opportunity to start up something of our own.
Cliff Farmhouse itself was big enough to allow us to start with one B&B Suite and there was plenty of unused space alongside the farmhouse to allow us to expand, which we did with the building on the annexe in 2019. See more about our story.
Old Hunstanton offered everything we thought was necessary to entice B&B or self-catering guests to stay at Cliff Farmhouse, including a fantastic location at the start of the most exquisiute North Norfolk coastline, a wide selection of lovely places to eat and drink, a beautiful beach, history, charm, walks and wildlife. All within a short walk of Cliff Farmhouse.
Old Hunstanton is a beautiful quite village with a picturesque sandy beach, from where one can enjoy wonderful views of the famous red and white striped cliffs and the Hunstanton Lighthosue perched on the top. The cliffs are a biological and geological Site of Special Scientific Interest and although the present lighthouse was built in 1840, there had been a lighthouse on the site since the 17th century, which provided the only visible guide to ships seeking to enter The Wash at night.
