Award winning Eric’s Fish and Chips blends the nostalgia of the traditional British fish and chip restaurants of the past, with a modern European influence, setting it apart from the normal chippy! It is our favourite for fish and chips, but be prepared to wait if you go out on a sunny day in the holidays!
Eric’s signature fish and chips is lightly coated in house-made Green King IPA beer batter, but alongside are more contemporary choices such as Japanese-style fish burgers, delicious halloumi and spinach arancini and several other options including gluten-free and vegetarian. All sauces and condiments are homemade and you can end with Eric’s interesting sweat treats; or pop in to the East Coast Gelato shop at Drive Orchards for a fantastic selection of ice cream.
Eric’s Fish & Chips is situated within the grounds of Drove Orchards in Thornham. The restaurant provides a relaxed family-friendly dining environment with plenty of outside dining space too. You cannot order by phone and you cannot book a table, so it’s first come first served. To avoid the queue, try their brilliant “click & collect” service – order, pay online and select your collection time; it’s that easy!
